Taikyoku (大極(たいきょく), Taikyoku) is one of the Hachiraishin, consisting of the so-called Gods who rule over the Shuuki.

Appearance[]

Taikyoku is a woman with long hair extending passed her back, lipstick on her lips, with a black tattoo in the middle of her forehead under her hairline, in addition to jagged markings underneath her slitted eyes. She adorns Japanese attire, resembling a kimono much larger than herself, to the point that it touches the ground, with a hair ornament that ties her hair in the back.

Personality[]

She has shown to be a rather critical and serious person, stabbing Shikoku using a sword, in front of the other remaining Thunder Gods for the death of Kuusetsu. Doing so, in an attempt to punish her for said actions, then told her to move on, showing her superior authority compared to the others.

Shuuki Powers[]

Sword Manipulation: She has the ability to either create and/or manipulate swords, shaped as tsurugi, one being able to penetrate a fellow Thunder God, Shikoku.

Trivia[]

  • Her name Tai (大) means "great" and kyoku (極) means "pole", as such, Taikyoku means "Great Pole".
  • Among the thunder gods, Taikyoku seems to represent Ō-ikazuchi (大雷, Great Thunder), coming from Izanami's head and embodying the most powerful lightning strike, in line with her role as leader of the Eight Thunder Gods.
