Shuuki (醜鬼(), Shūki), but their official name is Yomi Shuuki (黄泉醜鬼(), Yomi Shūki) are the dominant beings who live in Mato.

Description

Shuuki, in general, are all ferocious creatures who stand taller than an average adult male with numerous shapes and builds, most having an almost dark skin tone and texture that resembles raw muscles while their faces are pure white in color, the misshaped face appearing to resemble a grotesque mask. All Shuuki have monstrous features all ranging from far darker skin tones, some being larger than average Shuuki, exposed bones, multiple arms, eyes, and arms.

Following the appearance of Mato (魔都(), Mato), all the Shuuki have shown to be ferocious and aggressive toward all humans, attacking several towns and areas, which results in the brutal deaths of several humans after passing through the Gates. No humans were capable of combating the Shuuki until the Peaches were discovered, resulting in the creation of the Anti-Demon Corps and Onmyou Agency.

Hachiraishin

Hachiraishin (八雷神(はちらいしん), Hachiraishin, lit. "Eight Thunder Gods") are a group of eight powerful and intelligent beings who referred to themselves as the "Gods", who manipulate the Shuuki and all the others living in Mato.
