Shushu Suruga ( 駿(する)河(が) 朱々(しゅしゅ), Suruga Shushu) is a member of the Anti-Demon Corps 7th Unit and is a major supporting character of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga series.

Appearance 

Shushu is a well-endowed young woman with short yellow hair with greenish tint and matching green eyes. She is often seen with a ribbon tied atop her hair in a manner where they stand up like bunny ears.

As a member of the 7th Unit, she is often seen wearing the Anti-Demon Corps' uniform, which consists of a sleeveless navy military tunic, long gloves that reach up past her elbow, a red belt, shorts, high-heel boots that reach the middle of her shins.

Personality

Unlike a majority of her squad, Shushu is a cheerful and nonchalant girl, often displaying both a cheerful and nonchalant mindset almost all the time. Unlike Himari, who hated Yuuki at first, she developed an interest in him because she was enrolled in an all-girls school and hasn't had much interaction with another boy her age before. Having lived a mundane life, Shushu craved excitement, choosing to join the Anti-Demon Corp solely for stimuli. But she can be easily provoked.

Despite her rather carefree attitude, Shushu is rather bashful towards her own emotion towards Yuuki, opting to tease him in a roundabout manner than directly telling him. In addition, she is also highly protective to the young man.

Shushu is also rather innocent and very curious about everything, she likes to be active such as wanting to see a man's naked form out of curiosity.

Background

Shushu comes from a mediocre family and never knew about her father. Being the youngest of three sisters, she seems to be the most spoiled among them. She attended Bentenjima Girls' High School without being in contact with another male. At some point, she ate a Mato Fruit and joined the Anti-Demon Corps in search of some stimulus and to earn enough money for a living.

Powers and Abilities

Peach Blessing

Like most women who devour one of the peaches from Mato, Shushu attained a unique power.

Paradigm Shift (玉体革命(パラダイムシフト), Paradaimu Shifuto, lit. "Imperial Liberation"): This blessing allows her to grow or shrink in size from slightly to large levels. This also can make her clothes change size and grant her increased strength. She can also make certain parts of her body grow alone, as she grew her bust size in an attempt to seduce Yuuki in the shower.

• Boulder Melter (無窮の鎖(スレイブ)・岩(いわ)融(とおし), Sureibu: Iwa Tōshi, lit. "Eternal Chain: Rock Fusion"): The fifth transformation that Yuuki assumes through Lending. His form is bulkier with armor on his gauntlets, shoulders, chest straps, and shorts being almost as big or bigger than his first transformation. His offense and defense is also greatly augmented. By focusing his power into his arm while in this form, Yuuki is able to unleash a single major strike.

• Her name Shushu (朱) means "Vermilion Red".

• Her surname Suru (駿) means "Fast" and ga (河) means "River, Stream", as such Suruga means "Fast River/Stream". Suruga Province(駿河国) is a old japanese administrative division that existed until 1871 in the area that is now Shizuoka Prefecture. It was named after the Fuji River, one of the three most rapid rivers in Japan, which flows through the region. It is famous as the place where Tokugawa Ieyasu, who united Japan for the first time and founded the Tokugawa Shogunate, retired.
• Her bust size is 85 E.
• Her gigantification's posture is a reference towards Ultraman.
• Shushu likes video games and she got into romance manga after falling in love with Yuuki Wakura.
• Shushu's Blessing didn't transfer to Yuuki when they use Slave forms, which resulted in her growing instead of him, smashing him underneath her.
• It has become a running gag that Shushu frequently tries to seduce Yuuki, only to fail each time, which is ironic as she is the first person to fall in love with him.
• Coincidentally, Shushu's overall appearance resembles to that of Midori Tokiwa from the 2013 anime, Tamako Market, as both characters are voiced by Juliet Simmons in the English dub.
