Hattori (服部) is a student at Kaminoge High School and a classmate of Yuuki Wakura.
Appearance[]
Hattori is a tall teenage boy with thick lips and a buzz cut hairstyle with thick tufts of hair on the top of his head.
Personality[]
Hattori is a fairly typical and amicable teenager, although he has been shown to slack off with some of his responsibilities.[1] He is also pessimistic about his future as a working adult due to the disadvantages that men are forced to endure.[2] He also shows concerns for his friends, specifically Yuuki after he is recruited by the Anti-Demon Corps, but he is also prone to jealousy as seen when he realizes that Yuuki gets to be with the beautiful Kyouka Uzen.[3]
Synopsis[]
When Hattori, Yuuki Wakura, and Suwa are assigned to clean their classroom, Hattori and Suwa end up goofing off as Yuuki handles most of the cleaning. They then watch as the female students arrive, lamenting their inability to gain Peach blessings and the difficulties it imposes on their lives.
Later that evening, Hattori and Yuuki take the train home, but are discomforted by how overcrowded it is. Once off the train, the two continue on foot and Yuuki notices that one of Hattori's buttons is about to come off, at which point he sews it back up with Hattori remarking on his proficiency. After Yuuki brings up his sister, Hattori asks about her disappearing in a Mato disaster. Afterwards, the two go their separate ways home.[4]
The next day, Hattori and Suwa hear that Yuuki has been recruited by the Anti-Demon Corps. They discuss the matter, pitying Yuuki's new position. However, the two then run into Kyouka Uzen, Chief of the 7th Unit, whom they are instantly smitten with. Kyouka asks them where the principal's office is, explaining that she is Yuuki's "master", and Hattori excitedly gives her directions. After Kyouka leaves, Hattori and Suwa become bitterly jealous of Yuuki.[5]
