Golden Hour (東の辰刻(ゴールデンアワー), Gōruden Awā, lit. "Eastern Engraving") is the unique power granted to Yachiho Azuma after consuming a Mato Peach.

Description

Yachiho's power allows her to manipulate time. By striking a "noble pose" (as deemed by Yachiho herself), she can stop or rewind time, up to a maximum of five seconds. Yachiho executes different poses for stopping or rewinding time.

By rewinding time, Yachiho can return herself, her allies, and her opponents in her immediate vicinity to their positions and states, five seconds before activating her power. This allows her and her allies to gain additional chances to attack enemies, if their initial approach is doomed to failure. If a target was injured or damaged before rewinding time, the target will be restored to being intact.

By stopping time, Yachiho can stop opponents in their tracks while leaving herself free to move. This allows her to reposition so she can attack from another angle, or get close to her target so she can use her primary weapon (her handgun) more effectively. By firing into her opponent's movement path, her rounds will impact her target once the normal flow of time is restored. Yachiho can also cancel her power early before the five seconds are up.

If Yachiho suffers a severe injury or even loses a limb, she can still execute a "noble pose" using her other limbs to activate her power. Rewinding time will restore Yachiho's body to an uninjured state.

Golden Hour requires Yachiho to take the time to pose, so an especially fast opponent (such as Yuuki Wakura in his Whirlwind Form) can close the distance and attack her before she completes her pose. Using her power in rapid succession is also exhausting for her, and opponents are able to tell if she has used her power by observing her.

If her opponent knows how her power works, they can also counter it by moving out of range when she stops time. Yachiho is also unable to interact with the world during the period which she has stopped time, so if a target has obscured themselves while time is stopped, Yachiho will not be able to locate them until the five seconds are up.

Prime Time

Prime Time (東の大辰刻(プライムタイム), Puraimu Taimu, lit. "Eastern Great Engraving"): Through rigorous physical training and medidation, Yachiho was able to strengthen her power. By executing a "supreme pose" (as deemed by Yachiho herself), she can stop or rewind time for up to ten seconds, granting her a larger window to react to threats, or reposition for an advantage in combat. Yachiho takes longer to enter her "supreme pose", and repeated use will exhaust her even more, even forcing her power to go on cooldown if overused.

• Anti-Demon Corps 6th Unit member Sahara Wakasa theorizes that Peach Blessings are determined by the recipient's temperament and character. In Yachiho's case, she posits that Golden Time was born out of Yachiho's desire to spend more time with her beloved younger sister, Himari.
