Raid (襲撃, Shūgeki) is the ninety-first chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Konomi Tatara faces off against Yumeji Shimomura who mocks her for merely wanting to restrain her. Yumeji then sics two Shuuki on Konomi (whom she summoned with Shuuki Cards), but Konomi easily defeats them with her Beast Power. Yumeji then throws her sword at Konomi, which she destroys with her Tiger Fang Piercing Strike attack. After considering the nature of Konomi's power to herself, Yumeji informs Konomi that she will be fighting "multiple battles".
Suddenly, another Devotee grabs Ema Makura, taking her hostage with Yumeji threatening to kill Ema if Konomi moves. As she takes a drag of a cigarette, Yumeji tells Konomi she will pass her final words on to Kyouka Uzen. However, Ema suddenly breaks free of the Devotee as she activates her own Peach blessing Thorn Power. Konomi then kicks the Devotee away and comes to the aid of Ema, who tells Konomi that she wishes to join the Anti-Demon Corps. Yumeji remains unperturbed and seems please by the presence of another gifted individual, but Konomi declares that she will not forgive Yumeji.
Meanwhile, Fubuki Azuma relaxes at a bath house, but is suddenly attacked by the other female patrons who bear strange symbols on their skin. Fubuki easily defeats them with her Sunset ability, after which Maia Azuma arrives and informs her that the Anti-Demon Corps are being attacked in multiple places, including the 3rd and 8th Units whose dorms are being attacked. Fubuki surmises that the women are assassins sent by the Eight Thunder Gods, but is confident that the Anti-Demon Corps will not lose to them.
