A Light (光明, Kōmyō) is the eighty-eighth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Shushu Suruga excitedly shows Yuuki Wakura the new video game Street Savior VI and invites him to play it with her. Yuuki is hesitant as he knows they must prepare for battle against the Eight Thunder Gods, but he accepts after recalling Nei Ookawamura's suggestion to rest when they can.
Later, in her room, Shushu tries to decide what clothes she should wear to best seduce Yuuki. She considers mature and child-like underwear, but after recalling how her previous plans have failed, she decides to just be herself.
Yuuki manages to beat Shushu at the video game and Shushu notes how energetic he is. He replies that it's because he can just be himself around her and that he is grateful for her inviting him. Shushu then considers that she has an advantage against Kyouka Uzen and Tenka Izumo since she does not have a high authority position that would make Yuuki timid. Shushu then invites Yuuki to go to the game's "Collab Cafe", which he accepts.
In the human world, on their way to the cafe, Yuuki compliments Shushu on the outfit she is wearing. The two also happen upon a cat that is stuck on a tall fence. Shushu suggest that, since it is hard for her to control her strength with Paradigm Shift, she will hold up Yuuki so he can rescue the cat. Yuuki successfully saves the cat and Shushu observes that, during the brief time she grew large, she could see a path forward with her Paradigm Shift ability. The two then have an enjoyable day at the cafe and going clothes shopping with Shushu happily deciding she will not lose in war or love.
Meanwhile, at the Eight Thunder Gods' hideout, Fukuma dances gracefully, enjoying her "form". When Rairen expresses surprise when she is in that "form" again, she changes her appearance from that of Ren Yamashiro to Varvara Pilipenko. Shikoku arrives and informs them that the Devotees are ready to attack, while Rairen remarks that they themselves be making their attack at the same time.
