Kuusetsu (空折, Kūsetsu) is the eighty-first chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Yuuki Wakura holds the rescued and unconscious Mira Kamiunten, Naon Yuno, and Koko Zenibako and confirms that they are alive. Kyouka Uzen binds Kuusetsu with Yuuki's chain and threatens to kill her if she resists or tries to escape. However, Kuusetsu reverts to her original egg form and attempts to capture and absorb Kyouka. Before she can do so, Kyouka splits Kuusetsu in half and her body disintegrates.
With the enemy defeated, Kyouka praises Yuuki for his use of Skyward. Aoba grabs Naon and Koko, leaving Yuuki to wonder how they will deal with them as they must keep up the appearance that the Humanoid Shuuki are their enemies. However, Tenka Izumo intervenes and pretends to threaten and attack Aoba with Ame-no-Mitori, but she deliberately misses, allowing Aoba to escape. Tobera Azuma congratulates everyone on their victory over the Thunder God and, at Tenka's request, she prepares to heal everyone while Maia Azuma makes the report. Suddenly, Yuuki begins to lose consciousness and he collapses.
Yuuki awakens to find himself naked in a bed next to the likewise naked Kuusetsu, much to his shock. Kuusetsu assures him that it is not reality and they are in a "spiritual space" within him. After getting dressed, the two exit the house they are in only to find an empty void. Kuusetsu explains that she has appeared here since her body has been destroyed and this is the last place her power remains, reminding Yuuki that she previously gave him a "god drop". Kuusetsu goes on, explaining that she won't be able to affect any battles in the outside world and that just leaves her and Yuuki to try to get along with each other. Yuuki begins to fade away as he awakens and Kuusetsu assures him he can see her any time. Kuusetsu tells him to feel blessed for having a god in his heart, but Yuuki is skeptical about such a "blessing".
