Yokohama Showdown (横浜決戦 (前編), Yokohama Kessen (Zenpen)) is the seventy-eighth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
As Kuusetsu, her clones, and the giant Shuuki threaten Yokohama, Tobera Azuma and Maia Azuma arrive atop The Great One. Tobera calls out to Kuusetsu, identifying herself as the Commander of the Anti-Demon Corps, which catches Kuusetsu's attention. Believing Tobera, Kuusetsu and her clones rush her, believing that she is worth beating as the most important member of the Anti-Demon Corps. As the Kuusetsu clones approach, Tobera requests Maia to drop them down on a nearby bridge.
Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., Ren Yamashiro places one ability of her Vairocana in both her eyes, giving it a great power boost. Ren kicks a tremendous burst of energy that flies through the sky, heading straight for Japan. The U.S. President and her aides are amazed by the display as Ren assures them the blast won't hit any aircraft. Ren states she will leave the rest of the battle to her subordinates so they may continue the meeting.
Back in Yokohama, Yuuki Wakura is quite disturbed by the giant Shuuki, which Kuusetsu notices. She informs that it has a very "nasty" ability, but before she can finish explaining, Ren's blast strikes the Shuuki dead-on, destroying it. Kyouka Uzen and Tenka Izumo observe that the blast was Ren's doing and that the Shuuki became her target due to its large size.
On the bridge, Kuusetsu's clones close in on Tobera and Maia. Tobera asks Maia to buy her some time as the clones fire a barrage of feather bullets at them. Maia activates The Great One once more, creating a shield against the feathers. The feathers prove to be very powerful, rapidly tearing through The Great One's hands, and so Maia keeps summoning new hands to act as a tank. The clones cease the barrage, but Tobera and Maia emerge unharmed. However, Kuusetsu observes that Maia has worn herself out and prepares to finish her and Tobera off. Before the clones can unleash another volley, Tobera activates her Transience and begins to drain the life force of the clones, rendering them old and withered. Another clone tries to attack Tobera, but she dodges and grabs the clone's leg, instantly draining its life force through direct contact. The clones dissipate and Tobera happily proclaims that her senses are going back to their prime.
