The 2nd's Chief (二番組 組長, Ni Bangumi Kumichō) is the seventy-second chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Mira Kamiunten prepares to battle one of Kuusetsu's Shuuki. She easily dodges the Shuuki's attacks and then hits it with a devastating blow using only her finger. Yuuki Wakura is amazed by her performance, wondering if she has a strength-enhancing ability. Kyouka Uzen alerts Mira that another Shuuki (resembling Akura) has appeared and is holding one of the abducted women hostage. The Shuuki stabs through Mira's torso, but, curiously, Mira dissipates into a puff of smoke. Mira then appears from behind and strikes the Shuuki's arm, freeing and rescuing the woman.
Yuuki is once more astounded by Mira's abilities, but Kyouka tells him to focus on the first Shuuki who has recovered. The Shuuki curls into a ball and propels itself at Yuuki and Kyouka and countless spikes emerge from its body. Kyouka slices the Shuuki apart with her sword, but is slightly grazed by the spikes.
As Mira prepares to fight the remaining Shuuki, narration explains that the 2nd Unit's Vice-Chief, Megumi Zaha, holds a red flag up whenever Mira goes on a mission. Having had a troubled childhood, Megumi was overwhelmed with admiration and pride when she first met Mira and became her flag bearer. Megumi's Peach blessing, Red Soul, makes Mira stronger whenever she holds up the flag, which is a very rare ability.
The Shuuki transforms, becoming even stronger and more monstrous. Suddenly, three other "Miras" come out of building, holding the abducted girls. They report that the victims are still alive, though the kidnapper is nowhere to be found. At once, an army of multiple Miras surround the Shuuki and relentlessly beat it down. With the Shuuki defeated, the victims are freed of its webbing. Kyouka explains to Yuuki that Mira's ability, All-Killing, allows her to clone herself without decreasing her strength.
