In Sky-High Spirits (意気衝天, Ikishōten) is the sixty-second chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Fubuki Azuma stands before the fallen Sorako Azuma and Takemi Azuma whom she has defeated effortlessly and declares the fight over. While Takemi is unconscious, Sorako is still conscious and holds out hope that their sniper, Yumina Azuma, will finish Fubuki off. However, Yumina is quickly neutralized by Maia Azuma. Fubuki dismisses the Branch Family's efforts as pointless as Fubuki is still growing stronger. With this knowledge, Sorako realizes they can never hope to beat her. Maia tells Fubuki they must take care of Homare Azuma next, but they suddenly see a huge pillar of energy in the distance.
Homare witnesses Yuuki Wakura's transformation, which was the cause of the energy pillar. His Slave: Whirlwind form has evolved into Slave: Whirlwind - Sky. Homare guesses that it is a time-limited power-up, but Himari Azuma does not confirm this and declares she will defeat Homare before she understands it. Using her Python, Homare programs her body to retreat, running across the island at super speed, on the assumption that she can wait out the transformation. However, as she runs, she finds Yuuki and Himari running right alongside her. Yuuki kicks her to the side and Homare reprograms her body to attack. She makes several attacks with her knife in rapid succession, but Yuuki is able to block all of them and he kicks Homare to the ground, delivering a critical blow.
Afterwards, Yuuki is worn out and reverts to his normal Whirlwind form and Himari congratulates him. However, Homare gets back up off the ground, still willing to fight. Himari tells her not to push herself, but Homare insists she can still fight with her bare fists. Himari accepts the challenge and agrees to fight Homare mano a mano. Assured that she can beat Himari in a fistfight, Homare attempts an attack, but is quickly knocked down by Himari. Homare is surprised by the turn of events and Himari declares that she is foolish to challenge someone from the 7th Unit to a fistfight. Homare notices Himari's gaze and sees that it is similar to Maia's and Fubuki's. She yells that she cannot stand it and brandishes a knife to attack. Homare swipes the knife at Himari, declaring that she promised herself to defeat the Main Branch and rule over the Azuma Family. However, Himari dodges and blocks her attacks and retorts that the Azumas anger her too. Himari unleashes a flurry of punches on Homare and decidedly knocks her down, defeating her.
At the Azuma Estate, Kyouka Uzen, Tenka Izumo, and Tobera Azuma watch Himari and Yuuki's victory, happily praising them. Since all battles have stopped, Tobera takes the opportunity to remove the losers from the battlefield.
Back on the island, Yuuki has reverted to his human form as he could not keep his transformation going. He apologizes, but Himari asks why he is being so stiff. Yuuki replies that Himari was truly amazing during the battle. Himari is enraptured by his words, but then insists that they proceed with the Slave reward. Himari begins to kiss him with use of her tongue, though she still complains about how indecent it is. Suddenly, Fubuki appears before them, greatly startling the two, but, surprisingly, she tells them to continue. She didn't seemed to mind what happened before her.
