Life's Apex (生命の極み, Inochi no Kiwami) is the fifty-seventh chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Ren Yamashiro reminisces about her life. As a child and teenager, she would get first place in mock exams, win sports competitions, and perform admirably as student council president. She further recalls that, after easily defeating a group of rogue ability-users, the president of that country commended Ren as being "Life's Apex". But now, in the present, Ren is mortified to find she must debase herself for Yuuki Wakura.
Rather than simply pet Yuuki for his Slave reward, as she expected, Ren is compelled to strip off to her innerwear, exposing her bra and pantyhose. She calls Yuuki a beast. Ren attempts to cancel out the reward with her Vairocana, but is unable to. Although she could undo a Slave transformation, she could not override the contract itself. Ren forcibly gets on her hands and knees, which clearly irritates her, for which Yuuki profusely apologizes. She then starts to lick Yuuki and throws herself into his chest, apparently waiting to be caressed, which upsets her further. Timidly, Yuuki begins to stroke and feel her hair, but is terrified by her look of fury. Yuuki continues to caress her hand (especially the palm) and her face but Ren protests that he is supposed to be the dog. Yuuki moves her over his lap as he rubs her back. Finally, the contract expires. But as she rushes to get back up with being relieved, Yuuki accidentally snags her bra which reveals her breasts to him.
A concerned Kyouka Uzen finally catches up with Yuuki and Ren after the latter has already gotten dressed. Ren coldly tells her that her form wears Yuuki out to quickly and Kyouka must train him better. Kyouka tells Ren that her Slave form is dangerous, but Ren says she need not worry as she will thoroughly discipline him. Ren flies off, leaving them behind.
As she flies through the air, Ren thinks back to the reward she had to give Yuuki and how she bared her breasts to him. Furious at the indignity she has suffered, Ren screams and lashes out, destroying a portion of the land. With a look of pure anger, she speaks Yuuki's name.
