A Slave's Gratitude (スレイブの感謝, Sureibu no Kansha) is the fiftieth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Shushu Suruga and Tenka Izumo confront Shikoku, who stands before the sleeping Yuuki Wakura. Shikoku implores them to calm down, pointing out that they all have business with Yuuki. As Yuuki awakens, Shikoku sits on his face. Shikoku suggests that they have a contest and whoever tempts Yuuki the most successfully wins. Shushu is outraged by the idea, but Tenka agrees to it, shocking Shushu even more. Shikoku and Tenka begin to grope and caress Yuuki's body as Shushu watches, horrified. Shikoku beckons Shushu to join them and she nearly gives in, but she then realizes that the whole situation seems odd. Her body feels heavy and she realizes that Tenka would never allow an enemy to touch Yuuki.
In fact, Shikoku has released a toxic gas from her snakes that has trapped Shushu and Tenka in an illusion. With them captivated and unaware of reality, Shikoku commands them to approach her. She morphs her fingers into a sharp thorn, preparing to finish them off once they are close enough. However, Tenka breaks through her illusion just in time and attacks. Shikoku dodges, having expected a chief to break through her spell, but she is then struck by Shushu who has also broken the illusion. Shikoku hits a wall a begins to disappear into a mass of black goo. As she departs, Shikoku glares at Shushu, declaring she will not forget that she landed two hits on her.
Once Shikoku is gone, Yuuki awakens and Tenka informs him that one of the Eight Thunder Gods entered his room. Yuuki is surprised by the news and says he had no idea they were protecting him. Tenka gives the credit to Shushu, explaining that she acted first and Tenka was the backup. Yuuki thanks Shushu who happily declares that she will always protect him.
Later, Yuuki, Shushu, Kyouka Uzen, and Nei Ookawamura all sleep in the same room for better protection until the barrier is back up. Shushu is disappointed as it will not afford her an opportunity to sneak into Yuuki's room alone.
At the 10th Unit dorm, Ren Yamashiro has become aware of the Eight Thunder Gods' invasion and finds it intriguing. She looks over Yuuki's file and, considering that everyone seems to want him, it makes her want him for herself.
