The Encouragement of a Slave (スレイブの奮起, Sureibu no Funki) is the fifth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Using the fixed Mato Gate at the 5th Unit dorm, Yuuki Wakura returns to Yamagata in the human world. There, he is met by Kyouka Uzen who is dressed in elegant civilian clothing. Yuuki relishes how pleasant and peaceful the human world is, but Kyouka reminds him that their break is for only one day. Silently, Yuuki admires Kyouka's beauty in her civilian clothes.
The two board a train with Yuuki joining Kyouka as her partner. As Kyouka's partner, Yuuki is allowed to sit in the women's only section of the train alongside her. As it is his first time, Yuuki is amazed by how spacious it is. He notices that Kyouka appears to be resting, but she quickly speaks up and offers him some sweets. Yuuki is impressed by her attentiveness. Looking outside the train window, Yuuki contemplates how Kyouka suddenly decided to take him along with her, but he is sure they are going to visit her home town.
Yuuki and Kyouka arrive at a memorial grave site that commemorates all the lives lost in the Gassan Oisawa disaster. Kyouka explains that, while dozens of Shuuki appeared during the disaster, there was an especially strong one with a large horn among them, which Kyouka has dubbed "The One-Horned Shuuki". Furthermore, although most of the Shuuki were destroyed by the Anti-Demon Corps, Kyouka later learned that the One-horned Shuuki escaped through the gate. Of all Shuuki, Kyouka hates him the most and declares she will cut him to pieces. She tells Yuuki to keep this in mind if they ever cross paths with it.
Later, Yuuki and Kyouko head back to Mato and, although Kyouka is reluctant, Yuuki requests that they stop at a cafe that is known for having particularly good parfaits. Once they are seated at the restaurant, Kyouka remarks on how persuasive Yuuki is and he replies that Kyouka seems like a person who enjoys sweet things. Still, Kyouka is concerned about Mato, but Yuuki says that, while she understands show she feels, having lost his sister to a Mato disaster, she must learn to relax or else she'll burn out. Kyouka is convinced and the two partake of their parfaits, which Kyouka finds delicious. Kyouka praises Yuuki for finding the restaurant and he is surprised by her kind words. Suddenly, Kyouka gets an emergency call from Mato and informs Yuuki that they must return immediately. She transforms Yuuki into his Slave form and they rush back to the gate.
Once they are back at the 7th Unit dorm, Yuuki turns back to normal and Kyouka lets him help her undress as his reward. Yuuki removes Kyouka's stockings, but, once more, she calls him a pervert.
Later, Himari Azuma informs Kyouka that they discovered a large crater to the north where a large amount of Shuuki are gathered. Presently, Nei Ookawamura is watching it, but there are no signs of anything exiting the crater, as if it were a nest. Kyouka commends Himari for their report and decides that they should destroy the nest as it will be a great achievement for the 7th Unit. Yuuki is thrilled by the opportunity to fight more Shuuki.
Elsewhere in Mato, a strange-looking woman riding atop the One-Horned Shuuki believes she has felt Yuuki's presence. She declares that she must meet him if he is in Mato.
