Battle Over the Slave (スレイブ攻防戦, Sureibu Kōbōsen) is the forty-ninth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Having dealt with the terrorists, Ren Yamashiro orders Kyouka Uzen to undo her Slave transformation. Kyouka complies and Yuuki Wakura changes back to his human form. Ren becomes fascinated with him due to him bringing out Kyouka's ability and Tenka Izumo's interest in him. Ren asks Kyouka what kind of reward she must give him for the Slave contract and, on cue, Kyouka grabs Yuuki and presses his face to her breasts. The reward ends shortly thereafter with Ren being surprised by how quick it was, but Kyouka points out that Yuuki only had to travel a fair distance. Ren looks down on Yuuki, commenting on how cute he looks, comparing him to a dog. Yuuki observes that, although she looks nothing like her, Ren reminds him of his sister, Aoba Wakura. With that, Ren departs and orders Kyouka to watch over the defeated terrorists until the retrieval team arrives.
With Ren gone, Kyouka comments that many people think Ren's ability is to fly. But, in fact, that is only one aspect of her ability. She believes the terrorists failed because they misunderstood Ren's powers as well. Yuuki wonders if they terrorists wanted to steal the Peaches and Kyouka confirms that, although Japan does export them, the terrorists must have wanted more. She contemplates that Mato is a dangerous place that creates strife.
Later, at the 10th Unit Mato headquarters, Ren concludes the Chiefs meeting as quickly as possible so she may interrogate the arrested terrorists (much to Bell Tsukiyono's relief).
Afterwards, Kyouka gives a ride to Konomi Tatara and Riu Myouga, giving them an opportunity to patrol. Yuuki comments that the meeting ended sooner than he expected, but Kyouka and Riu point out that they'll be meeting with the other Chiefs and Units more often. Kyouka asks Riu how her disciples are turning out and she replies that they are performing modestly, but none are able to train their bodies as well as Kyouka. Konomi is amazed by Kyouka's ability to defeat Shuuki barehanded and asks to train with her sometime, which Kyouka happily consents to.
After returning Konomi and Riu to their dorm, Kyouka and Yuuki drive back to theirs and Yuuki observes that Riu had a lot of vitality. Kyouka explains that she was responsible for bringing up many of the younger generation and wonders if Fubuki Azuma will now inherit that role. Yuuki comments that he sees why Ren is feared and Kyouka confirms that she has her eyes on him, adding that the commander likes dogs. Kyouka asks if any other chiefs caught his eye, but he only replies that Konomi's admiration for her made him think about how amazing Kyouka is. Kyouka is surprised and says he really knows how to flatter others, but Yuuki says that he means it, which deeply pleases her.
Later that night, Shushu Suruga and Himari Azuma bathe in the hot springs and Himari observes that Shushu has been washing herself for a long time. Since the Chiefs' meeting ended early, Shushu plans to go into Yuuki's room to seduce him. However, as she shrinks down and enters his room, Shushu observes a strange blob enter through the wall. The blob grows and manifests into Shikoku, who observes that she was successfully able to get through the barrier by keeping her power down. Shikoku approaches Yuuki, planning to abduct him, but she is struck from behind by Shushu who angrily orders her not to touch him. Shikoku is enraged at having been attacked by an ordinary Anti-Demon Corps member, but she is interrupted and knocked down by Tenka's Ame-no-Mitori. Tenka herself than appears alongside Shushu, who declares that they will not let Shikoku touch Yuuki.
