Foreboding of a Storm (明かされた名, Arashi no Yokan) is the forty-fifth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
At the 7th Unit dorm, Kyouka Uzen, Himari Azuma, Shushu Suruga, and Nei Ookawamura sit down for a meal that Yuuki Wakura has prepared. Nei delightfully exclaims how happy she is to see Himari and Shushu healthy again. Shushu comments that she feels even better than before and Himari declares she will have her revenge on the Eight Thunder Gods. Kyouka finishes her meal early, but tells the others they can take their time. Yuuki asks if anything is wrong and Kyouka informs them that the Chief's Assembly is in three days and, thus, she must prepare. She tells Yuuki the meal was delicious. Elated, Yuuki thanks her.
Determined to get stronger, Himari tells Yuuki that he will train with her after his chores are done. Yuuki asks Shushu if she needs any chores done, but she happily says she has none. However, Shushu has her machinations at work as she has developed a new strategy to woo Yuuki. While Kyouka is busy with the Chief's Assembly, she plans to move in on Yuuki while there are no disturbances. She has carefully analyzed her competition for Yuuki's affection, seeing Tenka Izumo as her greatest threat.
Later, outside the dorm, Yuuki and Himari begin their training session. Himari explains that she must become more experienced with Slave as instances in which two people riding him will likely increase. Himari's expression becomes somber and she explains that, while she and Yachiho Azuma were recovering, her mother commented that Yachiho got hurt because Himari was dragging her down. Himari concedes that it is her fault Yachiho got tired, but there is also the possibility Himari may have to face her mother in an inter-unit match. Should that day come, she wants to utterly defeat her using Slave. Yuuki asks if Himari's mother is in the Anti-Demon Corps and Himari confirms that she is from the 9th Unit. Himari offers her hand to Yuuki and he licks it, activating the Slave transformation.
After training for some time, Himari says they must refine the Slave ability by reaching for an even greater form. Himari suggests to Yuuki that he try charging up his entire body as if for a finishing attack. Yuuki says that will exhaust him, but Himari points out that it will be good if they can enhance his power. Yuuki powers up, as instructed, causing his muscles to bulge. For a moment, Himari observes that his armor also transforms. However, Yuuki quickly tires and he wonders if it is impossible, but Himari refutes that she saw a change in him. Suddenly, a group of Shuuki appear. Yuuki and Himari go into battle and swiftly defeat them.
Afterwards, Yuuki reverts back to his human form. Himari tells Yuuki she will have him continue to tag along for training with her from time to time. As the Slave reward takes effect, Himari takes off her jacket and begrudgingly tells Yuuki to kiss her arm. Hesitantly, Yuuki complies and kisses her, embarrassing them both. Himari then instructs him to kiss her armpit and he complies, causing Himari to revile at the indecency of it.
Later, Himari bathes in the hot springs. As she recalls the reward from earlier, she wonders what reward she may have to give next time. She becomes flustered, wondering why she is thinking about it.
On the day of the Chiefs' Assembly, Kyouka announces that Yuuki will be joining her for the assembly, much to everyone's surprise. Kyouka explains that it was a sudden request by the commander. Nei asks Shushu why Yuuki would be called for the meeting, but she finds her despondently slumped over on the couch, as this news disrupts Shushu's plans to get close to Yuuki. Nervously, Yuuki asks what he should wear and Kyouka tells him to get into his usual inform. She also warns him that, like Tenka, the commander is very strong-willed.
