The Gods Go to Battle (神の出陣, Kami no Shutsujin) is a special chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga, set between Chapter 39 and Chapter 40.

Summary[]

While Shikoku is bathing, Jouryuu appears and informs her that they have found what they were looking for, which pleases Shikoku.

Later, after Shikoku gets dressed, she commends Jouryuu who then informs her that their targets are battling the Anti-Demon Corps. Rairen confirms that their targets are Humanoid Shuuki who are sure to be filled with life force. Shikoku tells Rairen to stay behind and watch Kuusetsu, which angers him, but Shikoku reminds him that the is not fit for mission. Rairen reluctantly agrees and asks them to complete the mission quickly before the Anti-Demon Corps destroy the Humanoid Shuuki.

Believing it is time to introduce themselves as gods to the Anti-Demon Corps, Shikoku perches herself on top of rock and practices a speech declaring her superiority to humans. Shikoku asks Jouryuu's opinion on it and she replaces that she could not feel the majesty of it. Jouryuu assures Shikoku she will make them look divine as they arrive and Shikoku and Jouryuu head out.
