The Spirit of the 7th Squad (七番組の精神, Nana Bangumi no Seishin) is the thirty-sixth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Himari Azuma faces down Naon Yuno, declaring that she will defeat her. Akura fires a stream of arrows at Himari, but she turns around in time to shoot them down. Himari turns back to face Naon, but she has disappeared into the ground with her Hidden Beauty. Himari fruitlessly fires into the ground. Akura retreats into a crevice.
Himari and Yachiho Azuma are surprised by how well Naon and the Shuuki are coordinating. Having recovered, Yachiho tells Himari that she can use her Golden Hour again. Himari offers to flush Naon and Akura out with her gun, but Yachiho says she will not get anywhere by firing randomly. Instead, Yachiho suggests they stand back-to-back to create a perfect defense (the "Azuma Circular Formation"). However, Himari points out that the enemy may decide to ignore them and go for the Chiefs instead. Himari suggests that she use a new attack, though she admits she hasn't used it in battle yet. Yachiho remains skeptical, reminding Himari of one time she got sick from pushing herself too hard. However, Himari insists that she is no longer like that thanks to her training with Kyouka Uzen after the interunit matches. Reluctantly, Yachiho agrees to her plan.
Himari unties her hair. She considers that if she shoots at random, she will likely not the enemy. At once, her hair transforms into a huge array of guns, pointed in dozens of directions. Himari believes that with this much coverage, she will hit the enemy. Himari fires the guns, demolishing the surrounding area. As predicted, Himari exposes Naon as she falls from the ceiling.
As the cave crumbles around them, Yachiho activates her Prime Time attack, rewinding time ten seconds back. She stops Himari from destroying the cave, informing her the plan was successful, much to Himari's delight. Yachiho then reveals Naon's location and Himari fires at her, defeating her. Yachiho congratulates Himari, saying she will thank her once they go home. Himari thanks her in turn, but says she has no plans to go home.
