Scouting for a Slave (スレイブのスカウト, Sureibu no Sukauto) is the twenty-third chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Tenka Izumo requests Kyouka Uzen to give Yuuki Wakura to her to be part of the 6th Unit. Tenka recalls that she had always been an honor student and never had major difficulties in life, but she has always been bored when alone. Kyouka enthusiastically suggests she try training, but Tenka clarifies that she wants a "pet" who will act as a loyal companion to her. Kyouka suggests there are many other men who could provide such a service, but Tenka explains that only Yuuki has been able to capture her heart. Realizing the extent of Tenka's feelings, Kyouka nevertheless declines, arguing that she cannot hand him over with the Humanoid Shuuki threat still at large. Tenka counter-argues that Kyouka could broaden the extent of her Slave ability, allowing her to use it, but Kyouka insists that she wishes to continue training with Yuuki to refine his finishing move. As a final offer, Tenka says she will support Kyouka in the next Commander election if she gives Yuuki to her. Kyouka is surprised by the offer, but turns Tenka down, proclaiming that she will become Commander through her own and not sacrifice her subordinates in deals. Disappointed, Tenka asks if she can at least meet Yuuki in private, to which Kyouka replies that she will not intervene.
Later, while on patrol, Kyouka and Himari Azuma inform Yuuki that Tenka wants him as a pet, much to his shock. Yuuki insists that he must stay as the caretaker for the 7th Unit, which Kyouka and Himari agree with, though Kyouka informs him that she will not meddle in private matters.
Later, while resting in his bedroom, Yuuki contemplates that, while he is pleased that Tenka fancies him, he wants to be a hero, not a pet. Suddenly, much to Yuuki's shock, Tenka appears in his room via her Ame-no-Mitori ability. Tenka informs him that she wanted to meet with him in secret and then abruptly asks if he will go out with her. Flustered, Yuuki confirms that Tenka wishes to go out with him as a boyfriend, and not a subordinate or pet. Tenka clarifies that she only called Yuuki a "pet", because he is cute like one. Yuuki is flattered as it is the first time a girl has confessed to him, but he wonders what she sees in him. Tenka replies that he has the noble loyal heart of a slave and he has the strong arms of a caretaker. Suddenly, Tenka uses her Ame-no-Mitori to appear behind Yuuki and nibble his neck. Yuuki is startled, but Tenka tells him that she likes the feel of skin as well as his face. However, Yuuki still believes that Tenka only sees him as a pet. Tenka says that, while he is like a pet now, she will show him affection if he grows strong. Tenka then gives him a tender kiss. Tenka is overwhelmed by the feeling, claiming she has never felt it before, and then gives him a deeper passionate kiss. Tenka then pushes Yuuki on the bed and begins to take off her clothes.
