A Turbulent First Day is the one-hundred-and-thirty-eighth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Yuuki is confronted by an impassioned Tenka and recalls that this has happened before. As she removes his shirt, Yuuki tries to calm her down, but is unsuccessful as Tenka kisses him. As she does so, Tenka considers that she should not be forcing herself on Yuuki, but is unable to stop herself. Tenka removes her bra and prepares to unbuckle Yuuki's belt, but is interrupted as Yakumo barges through the door. However, Tenka teleports herself and Yuuki away before Yakumo can see them.
Alone with Yuuki again and back to her sense, Tenka apologizes and prepares for the election meeting. As they get dressed, Yuuki asks the Anti-Demon Corps need to follow the decision of the Prime Minister, to which Tenka explains that they have special privileges that allow them to defy the wishes of those higher up in the government due to the unusual nature of Mato. Tenka further explains that, since Ren is sure to win the election, she needs to prepare a few things to make the first move against her so as to give Kyouka a chance of winning.
Meanwhile, Ren talks with Imabou and Yamori about other potential candidates in the election, and Ren notes that Kyouka is sure to contend with her. Imabou and Yamori admit that Kyouka has an impressive resume and would have a chance at being elected Commander if not for Ren. Assured of this Ren, contemplates that no other Chiefs can take her on and she will remain the Commander forever.
Nearby, Tobera grudgingly remarks at Ren sucking up to the higher ups. Riu wonders if she is resentful towards Ren and points out that Tobera lost her position as Commander because her ego was too big. Tobera counters that she didn't want to submit to the higher ups' demands, as they resulted in many disasters. Riu reminds Tobera that she voted for her in the election, and Tobera delightedly assures her that she remembers.
Some time later, the Chiefs, electors, and all other members of the electoral staff meet to commence the election. Riu explains that the Chiefs will have a full day to register themselves as candidates and the electoral campaign will last for the following five days. On the final day, the votes will be cast and counted. Ren further explains they will be in Shangri-La the whole time and all attendees to free to ask any questions they like. Kyouka interjects, explaining she would like to take advantage of the presence of multiple specialists to address a certain matter.
Suddenly, a portal from Tenka's Ame-no-Mitori manifests, and Tenka appears with Naon and Koko beside her. The others are startled by the presence of Humanoid Shuuki, but Tenka assures them they mean no harm. Ren realizes this is a direct attack on her as Commander. While Imabou and Yamori remain startled, Tobera interjects, assuring them that they are safe with the Anti-Demon Corps Chiefs present. Tenka explains that Naon and Koko were held captive by the Onmyou Agency, a fact that many in attendance are unaware of. Riu wonders about Kyouka's tactic, considering that a false accusation could be detrimental to her campaign. Kyouka asserts to Ren that they must discuss the Onmyou Agency.
