White Flag is the one-hundred-and-thirty-third chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
As Maia and Yuuki are still being chased, Maia decides to make for the exit portal, as evacuating the hostage would be considered a win. However, when they get there, she sees a cheetah-like ability user waiting at the portal and, before Maia can react, the cheetah woman destroys the portal. This stuns Maia momentarily, enough for the bird woman to catch up to her.
Maia unsummons the hand she and Yuuki are riding on, causing them both to free fall and, in turn, dodge the attack. Maia then summons a hand to attack the bird but the bird dodges. She then summons another hand behind the bird and the bird is punched out of the sky. She then unsummons the first hand and summons another hand to catch them right before they hit the ground.
However, the cheetah woman uses this as her opportunity to attack and, while Yuuki dodges, Maia gets cut across the chest. With one of her magic hands still occupied with the bird woman, Maia has no choice but to keep dodging the cheetah woman. She eventually decides to return to the portal, where she wraps herself and Yuuki in two new hands and crashes into the place where the portal used to be. While multiple ability users open fire on the two of them, they manage to hold out long enough for the portal to respawn and the two are teleported out.
Back in the outside world, Tobera gives full marks to Maia for succeeding. However, Maia rejects the praise, stating that if Yuuki hadn't dodged the cheetah woman on his own accord, they would have lost on grounds of the hostage getting hurt. But he just plays it off, to the gratitude of both Maia and Fubuki.
Meanwhile in Mato, Shikoku confronts Ren, saying that the Eight Thunder Gods now want to coexist with the Mato Defense Corp.
