Varvara's Slave is the one-hundred-and-twenty-ninth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
During a meet with Ren, Mira plays with her dogs who are very affectionate towards her. Ren then asks Mira if she has noticed anything different about Tenka, but Mira says that she seems the same as always. Mira then shows Ren a cute bird video on her computer tablet.
Later, Mira tells Kyouka about her meeting with Ren, specifically about how Tenka is now under watch and Kyouka confirms that she herself is related to the situation. Mira warns Kyouka that now is not the time to create infighting within the Anti-Demon Corps and Kyouka agrees that they should focus their efforts on fighting the Thunder Gods. Mira concedes that Ren has a big ego and it is understandable that Kyouka would hold some contempt towards her.
Meanwhile, in the midst of a joint training session with the 6th Unit, Yuuki wanders the halls, considering how much food he should prepare, when he stumbles on Yachiho and Sahara who are in the middle of changing. Flustered, Yuuki leaves the room and asks where Tenka is, to which Yachiho and Sahara reply that Tenka is guarding the 6th Unit dorm as she has work to finish.
Some time later, Yuuki, Kyouka, and Varvara meet in the middle of a Shuuki hot spot to try out Varvara's lending. As a group of Shuuki appear, Kyouka lends Varvara to Yuuki and he transforms into the bulky mechanical Slave: Komainu form. As the Shuuki attack, Yuuki creates a barrier that burns away the Shuukis' bodies. Discontent with so light a "punishment", Varvara orders Yuuki to continue the attack and he extends his tail, slicing the Shuuki apart, and then fires his fist from his arm like a rocket. With nearly all of the Shuuki vanquished, Yuuki says he doesn't feel tired at all and Varvara says that the source of his power is likely his loyalty to Kyouka.
One single unique Shuuki remains and Yuuki says he feels he has another very powerful weapon he can use. Varvara then transports them and the Shuuki inside her Pantheon so they don't have to worry about collateral damage. Inside the Pantheon, the Shuuki attacks, but Yuuki activates his "Light of Atonement" technique, shooting a ball of light from his chest that annihilates the Shuuki in one hit. Varvara and Yuuki observe that the technique is only effective against evil beings and normal humans would not be affected. As the Shuuki explodes in a brilliant flash of light, Varvara is content that Yuuki's new form will help Kyouka annihilate all Shuuki.
