Chapter 128

Endless Strength is the one-hundred-and-twenty-eighth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.

Summary[]

As Yuuki bathes in the 7th Unit's hot spring, he is approached by Shushu whose hair has grown long due to Himari's Transience. Shushu seemingly disrobes by accident, but, to her disappointment, Yuuki averts his eyes before he can see her naked body. Shushu begins to wash Yuuki's back, explaining that it is his reward for defeating a Thunder God, but Yuuki says that Shushu should receive a reward as well. Invigorated by Yuuki's response, Shushu wonders if now is the time to give in to her passion for him, but Yuuki suddenly excuses himself from the bath.

Yuuki enters the changing room, but encounters Himari who is stripped down to her underwear, mortifying both of them. Yuuki frantically explains that he put up a sign indicating he was in the bath, but Himari equally frantically responds that she ignored it as she saw Shushu going in. As Yuuki rushes out of the changing room, he recalls how Himari previously chased him with a chainsaw the last time this happened and remarks that Himari has "grown". However, Himari takes this to mean that her body has grown more "womanly" and she dismisses him as indecent.

Meanwhile, in a separate changing room, Yakumo reveals to Kyouka that Varvara's Pantheon ability has gotten weaker, prompting Kyouka to check on Varvara with Yuuki. Yakumo lasciviously suggests that she try giving Varvara a massage, but when Kyouka rebuffs her she asks if she can see Kyouka in her underwear instead, but finds that Kyouka has already left.

Later, at the 8th Unit dorm, Prachi informs Jenna that Kyouka has arrived to assist Varvara. When Jenna asks if Varvara will get better, Prachi desperately tries to think of a "quip", but comes up short.

Meanwhile, Kyouka and Yuuki meet with Varvara and Kyouka expresses her desire to know more about Varvara and her ability. Varvara explains that her ability has likely weakened due to her overexerting herself in her fight against Fukuma. Kyouka asks if she can see Varvara's ability, but a surprised Varvara is reluctant, believing Kyouka will be shocked by it. Kyouka reassures her that she wants to help and Varvara concedes.

Inside Varvara's Pantheon, Kyouka and Yuuki see the statue of Kyouka and are impressed by Varvara's ability. Kyouka admits her surprise at how highly Varvara thinks of her, but is grateful. Kyouka says she will try to continue being a person worthy of Varvara's respect, which completely overwhelms Varvara to the point that the statue begins to shine. Varvara explains that Pantheon has been restored to its full power with Yuuki observing that Kyouka's comment caused all of Varvara's worry to vanish. Varvara expresses her gratitude to Kyouka and asks that she try Slave lending with her in case it awakens an ability that will be useful. Kyouka warns Varvara that the use of Slave comes with a price, but Varavara is fully aware. Recalling how powerful the Thunder Gods, Kyouka agrees to lend Yuuki to Varvara.
