Holy Battle (聖なる戦い, Seinaru Tatakai) is the one-hundred-and-nineteenth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
As Fukuma faces down Varvara and the Kyouka statue, she mocks Varvara's cathedral, calling it a "theme park". However, as the statue draws its sword, Fukuma realizes the danger of it and decides it would be best not to get sliced by it. Varvara declares that Kyouka's sword can strike down all evil, but Fukuma defies her as she changes her arm into a giant drill and attacks the statue. However, despite hitting the statue dead on, Fukuma's drill simply bounces off of it, with Varvara explaining that Kyouka's body is too tough to be damaged.
Varvara then manifests a giant bird with her ice powers and launches it at Fukuma, hitting her dead on. Angrily, Fukuma breaks the bird apart, but is quickly compromised as the statue throws its sword at her. However, Fukuma shrinks her body, avoiding the sword while also mocking Varvara. Varvara, branding an ice sword and shield, rushes Fukuma, who tells her that she had seen the surprise attack coming. Fukuma attacks Varvara by extending her sharpened fingers, but Varvara deflects them away. Realizing that Varvara can use more of her ice power, Fukuma fires a powerful electrical bolt from her halo towards Varavara, but the Kyouka statue blocks it, with Varvara explaining that Kyouka protects people from evil-doers.
Realizing her projectile attacks have no effect, Fukuma attempts to give her opinion about Kyouka, but Varvara cuts her off, proclaiming she has no right to speak about her. The statue then swings its sword at Fukuma and seemingly cuts her body in twain. However, it is revealed to be merely a hollow body double that Fukuma created as a distraction, while the real Fukuma sneaks up on Varvara. Before Fukuma can attack, however, Varvara two large jagged ice wings from her back, which knock Fukuma back. Varvar then leaps into the air, twirling her body around and delivers a devastating strike with her Hyouka Uzan technique.
Fukuma's body is pierced by several ice crystals, but she quickly recovers, apparently unharmed. Fairly disconcerted by how little damage her attack did, Varvara realizes that Fukuma is a truly formidable foe, even with Holy War activated. Meanwhile, Fukuma considers that, while Varvara herself cannot defeat her, she must be wary of the Kyouka statue, whose sword likely has a "conceptual power". She also considers that she would likely have an easy win if she re-merged with her clones, but this option is not possible as they are still preoccupied with Prachi and Jenna. Fukuma realizes then why Shikoku suggested a discreet assassination as the Anti-Demon Corps are very formidable.
Fukuma then reveals the Shuuki card containing Bell Tsukiyono's body, much to Varvara's surprise. Fukuma explains that has no other allies or cards and that if the card is destroyed it will release Bell. Varvara correctly deduces that Fukuma has done this to receive a boost from the Honesty virtue as Fukuma powers up. Fukuma declares she will take Varvara down without keeping up appearances. Fukuma then begins to change her form into Varvara herself, saying it must be a very revolting and difficult form for Varvara. Varvara concurs, stating it is the foe she must overcome more than any other. Both combatants fiercely determined, the two prepare to settle the match.
