What Looms Over Shangri-La (暗雲桃源郷, An'un Tōgenkyō) is the one-hundred-and-fourteenth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
After Nei has a drink, she assures "Bell" that she will be able to fall asleep, but may wake up a few nights during the night. "Bell" then offers her a "sleep charm", which Nei eagerly accepts. Fukuma has Nei stand in front of her and then extends claws from her fingers, prepared to kill her, but is interrupted as Kyouka enters. Her plan thwarted, "Bell" gives the somewhat confused Nei a shoulder massage, stating that the girl's shoulders were stiff. Fukuma decides to forgo attacking any of the Anti-Demon Corps members for the night.
The next day, while changing, Jenna learns from Shushu that she doesn't have a lover and so presents a picture of her own "lover", who is, in fact, a fictional swordsman from a popular series whom she has dubbed her "husbando". At the same time, Himari asks Prachi if she is familiar with yoga. Prachi says she is not, but instead brings out a sombrero, maracas, and dog suit to teach Himari about prop comedy. Kyouka, Varvara, and "Bell" look on, pleased that the others are opening up to each other and that they should soon move on to ability training.
Afterwards, Fukuma decides she will kill Yuuki, Nei, and then Varvara that night, at which point she can think of a more aggressive approach for the others. She then encounters Yuuki while he is cleaning, and, assuming her "Bell" role, she timidly asks to talk to him, but slips and falls, pressing her lips against his. "Bell" profusely apologizes and a flustered Yuuki forgives her, after which "Bell" asks Yuuki if they can meet later that night, whispering into his ear that she wants it to be just the two of them without anyone else knowing. Embarrassed, Yuuki nevertheless agrees and as "Bell" gets up to leave she "trips" again, pressing her crotch against Yuuki's face, and she apologizes again. Fukuma is pleased, believing she has filled Yuuki's mind with perverted thoughts that will disrupt his logical thinking, and she takes her leave.
Meanwhile, inside Yuuki's spirit world, Kuusetsu has noticed Fukuma's presence, but does not believe she has noticed her. She is also surprised that Fukuma does not look like Ren Yamashiro. Kuusetsu realizes that Fukuma is planning an assassination, while also having a "Plan B", which she assumes was Shikoku's idea. She wonders if Yuuki will die or if Fukuma will take up residence in Yuuki's spirit world with her. She supposes she will get her answer tonight as Yuuki and Fukuma meet up.
