Shangri-La (桃源郷, Tōgenkyō) is the one-hundred-and-eighth chapter of the Mato Seihei no Slave manga.
Summary[]
Ginna Bizen presents the entrance to Shangri-La to Kyouka Uzen, Yuuki Wakura, and the rest of the 7th Unit. Yuuki remarks on how it reminds him of Azuma Estate's portal, but Himari Azuma comments that Shangri-La is on a completely different scale. Kyouka says that it is first time going into Shangri-La and Ginna remarks that it requires a lot of preparation due to the burden it puts on its user and that Ren Yamashiro has been expediting the process. Kyouka asks Ginna what precautions they should take and Ginna advises them that no one, not even the ability user, will know of anything that happens in Shangri-La, that it is impossible to contact anyone outside, that damaged equipment will be restored in a few hours, and that they will not be able to leave for a long time if the entrance is destroyed. With that, Kyouka decides that they should go in and Ginna asks her to tell the 6th and 9th Units to leave since there is a limit to how many people can be in Shangri-La at one time.
The 7th Unit enter Shangri-La and find a beautiful forested area as well as a dorm even larger than the Anti-Demon Corps dorms, which contains food and equipment. Himari considers the pros and cons of Shangri-La in contrast to the Azuma portal, which Yuuki catches on to. Himari teasingly asks Yuuki what she is currently thinking and he replies that she is thinking about eating flavorful ramen so she can train hard, which is apparently correct based on her embarrassed reaction.
Noticing Yuuki and Himari's interaction, Shushu Suruga considers that Himari has an offensive approach to romancing Yuuki, just like the Chiefs. Based on her research on the Internet, Shushu believes there are many types of romancing and that she is the type who will go for an upset, pulling ahead from behind at the last minute. She decides she will make her "preparations" in Shangri-La.
The 7th Unit enters the dorm and find Tenka Izumo, dressed in a swimsuit and apron, inside the kitchen. She presents a dish she is preparing to Yuuki, giving him a taste test, which he finds delicious. The group then meets up with Yachiho Azuma, Sahara Wakasa, Maia Azuma, Fubuki Azuma, and Tobera Azuma who are all also dressed in swimsuits, which makes Yuuki flustered as he does not know where to look.
Yuuki freshens himself up in the bathroom, but suddenly finds himself stripped to his underwear as Homare Azuma, who has disrobed him with her Python ability, enters and attempts to seduce him. However, before Homare can go too far, Shushu intervenes and knocks her down, having predicted such an event.
Later, the three Units gather outside, now dressed in their uniforms and with Yuuki in his Slave form. They agree to have a mock battle since they will have extra time before the 8th Unit arrives due to the time distortion. Fubuki declares that the three Chiefs, Kyouka, Tenka, and herself will all fight. Narration from Yuuki states that he had no idea that this would result in him receiving a reward from all three Chiefs at the same time.
