Beast Power (金色形意拳(ケモノチカラ), Kemono Chikara, lit. "Golden Xing Yi Quan") is the unique power granted to Konomi Tatara after eating the peach.

Description

After receiving the Peach Blessing, Konomi awakened the ability to attain the same characteristics of an actual beast. For example, a Tiger, which happens to be her favorite animal, which once activated increase her strength and speed, to the point of being able to assist in defeating an entire Shuuki horde within the same amount of time that it took Yuuki to transform through Kyouka's powers. In addition to this, she's capable of attacking in the same way as an actual Fierce Tiger, i.e. being able to use the same slashing attacks, as if her fingers are claws, tearing apart multiple larger, much bulkier Shuuki in seconds.

Techniques

• Output Boost (出力(しゅつりょく)上昇(じょうしょう), Shutsuryoku Jōshō): A particular move that allows her to amplify her power output.

Animal "Forms"

Through her Beast Powers, Konomi seemingly can replicate and assume the characteristics of both animals and beasts, referred to as "Forms". There doesn't seem to be a limit to the creatures she could replicate, ranging from the more modern animals, to prehistoric, irregular, and mythical animals.

Tiger

Her most preferred "Form" is Tiger (虎(とら), Tora), which is her favorite animal too. In this, she is granted an enhanced version of a Tiger's traits, such as their strength and speed, in addition to being able to slash opponents using her fingers, as if they were actual claws.

• Tiger Claw Slash (虎(こ)爪(そう)烈斬(れつざん), Kosō Retsuzan): Bending all five fingers on her hands to mimic that of a tiger's claw, Konomi lunges forward, attacking the enemies in front of her as if they were actual claws, tearing apart Shuuki with relative ease similar to an attacking tiger, using her hands and feet. Under the amplified strength, Konomi is strong enough to unleash aura attacks that can cut through large trees.
• Tiger Crushing Strike (虎(こ)撲(ぼく)砕(さい)破(は), Koboku Saiha): Leaping upward, towards her intended target, Konomi unleases an open double palmed strike into her enemy's lower jaw, smashing apart a massive Shuuki's jaw and teeth, releasing a shockwave that lifted it into the air.

Scorpion

Another animal "Form", Scorpion (蠍(さそり), Sasori) is initated from, standing on all fours, with one knee on the ground and her other leg raised into the air resembling a scorpion's tail. In this, she can release far faster attacks resembling the striking tail of an actual Scorpion, releasing curved slashes from her legs.

• Red Needle Legs (朱針腿(しゅしんたい), Shushintai): After initiating the same stance, standing on both hands, she releases an X-shaped slash using both legs, unleashing a powerful blast of aura that broke the "weapon of the god", belonging to Yumeji.

Snake

Her Snake (蛇(へび), Hebi) Form, initiated from Konomi holding her hands in a manner resembling a snake, then unleashing an unusual, almost random barrage of strikes.

• Snake Heavy Whip (蛇彊(じゃごう)叭(は), Jagōha): Entering this stance, Konomi releases a torrent of rapid strikes, each one being able to strike an opponent from a wide distance from all angles, making blocking them impossible.

Slave

Another "Form" not based on an actual animal, but instead the Slave (奴隷(スレイブ), Sureibu) form that Yuuki assumes as a result of Kyouka's Peach Blessing, where she attains the strength and speed he exhibits in that mode.

Pterosaur

A "Form" based on the prehistoric animal, Pterosaur (翼(よく)竜(りゅう), Yokuryū), something that grants her flight capabilities.

Monkey

A "Form" based on the Monkey (猿(ましら), Mashira), granting her flexibility and agility.

Yellow Dragon

A "Form" based on the Yellow Dragon (黄(こう)龍(りゅう), Kōryū), a Mythical Beast, initiated from raising her leg into the air, in which grants Konomi the same characteristics of a Yellow Dragon.

• Dragon Fang Charge (牙(きば)龍(りゅう)進撃(しんげき), Kibaryū Shingeki): Entering a stance, Konomi unleashes a succession of four kicks that sends her opponent higher and higher into the air.

Trivia

• Beast Power is a reference to and built on the basis of the Chinese martial art, Xing Yi Quan, one which focuses on using linear and coordinated movements to generate explosive power, in addition to using animalistic features such as the Tiger Style that Konomi focuses on most.
